Plus, you won’t have to calculate anything, you can just use the “stovetop 15psi” pressure cooking times listed on the pressure cooking time chart on this site!

One Pot Recipes The recipe is written for a thawed roast. If using a frozen roast, you will need to add about 20-30 minutes to your pressure cooking time. You can also skip the searing step and simply rub the spices on the roast and then place it in the pot and then move ahead to the pressure cooking step.

It’s so much cheaper to make your own bone broth, rather than buying those cartons in the store – plus it tastes SO much better. So, good in fact that I normally just drink the bone broth, straight up, sipping it out of a coffee cup – especially needed in the Oregon wintertime when it rains for months on end! I also love to doctor it up with a bit of white miso paste and a squeeze of ginger from those little tubes that you find in the refrigerated sections at stores like Trader Joe’s. (You could also grate in some fresh ginger, but the tube is so much easier)

May 23, 2018 Amy + Jacky The thighs take longer because these are on the bone, but chicken breasts inside an instant pot will be done within 10 minutes, especially after browning them a bit. Not too long ago I made the mistake of cooking them for 15 minutes and they were overcooked.

Shop by Category Testing food processors & choppers Hi Adrienne, I can’t say for certain since I haven’t tried myself, but because most of the veggies in this recipe are sautéed prior to the pressure cooking step, I don’t think starting with frozen vegetables would affect the cooking time much. They can release quite a bit of liquid as they are cooked, however, which could affect the dish. (The frozen peas added at the end are already thawed, so that part wouldn’t be any different.) I’ve only tested the recipe as it’s currently written, so I’m sorry I don’t have any specific recommendations to make!
